Hitting something with the same force at the same point will sound the same regardless of how high the starting point is. To me, his movements are just so over-gesticulated. And I like drummers that hit hard too. But you can hit drums hard without looking like you're a lumberjack chopping wood.

I apologize for not reading every post but are we making a distinction between rap and hip hop: For example someone burned me the Lupe Fiasco album: Lyrically insane btw and I pointed out that I didn't love the style, and was reminded that I don't like hip hop, only rap. I didn't know that their was a major distinction but I guess anything with a hook is hip hop???? No clue and not trying to start a debate:
To answer the question: I would like hip hop if everyone sounded like the streets, cyprus hill (who I just saw walking through the Salt lake airport- and squeezed that in here to sound important) or 90's angry cop hating rap.
