i don't understand why dumble's cost so much. i've heard way better amps that don't cost $20,000, and that's even if dumble decided you're worthy of playing one. plus, do you realize how much fuzz you could buy for the cost of a klon?

I'm still confused about the whole "Praise & Worship" as musical genre thing. :idk:

My first experience with TGP was right after mgmt played saturday night live. I was trying to find out about this weird pyramid shaped cab one of them was using and I stumbled into a thread that was literally just them talking shit about mgmt. I cant find it anymore but I remember there was one part where one guy said that ben didn't know how to play keys and his sole argument for this was at the end of their second song he "hit" the keyboard.

It's not, but xtian psych is real and as a concept, fairly odd.

wow, that makes me really sad to my heart. mgmt is just one of those bands that i can't imagine anyone actually thoroughly hating. i mean disliking, whatev... but, i totally think if you hate mgmt you haven't listened to them. then again i am extreeeemeeely biased.

but fuck yeah, andrew's (were they andrew's?) pyramid cabs are sooooo o o o o o sick and made by 3rd power.

I saw the gut shots on that thing. Man, is it complicated looking. I'll probably never build one just from parts count alone. The PCB is massive.

Even after having read that thread a few months back and reading it again now, I still can't believe how ridiculous it is.

"I think a lot depends on the guitar and amp combination... I can never get it right, but my friend, using a Bogner Shiva and Parker Fly, can really nail it."

:picard:

I think it was either pp or spunks who really nailed it when they said "they're looking for the johnny greenwood 'don't strum like a wimpy bitch' technique'

yeah that thread....I can't even get past the first page :/

I came from TGP, which I joined for their emporium/bst section. The 60 year old guys bitching about how new music sucks and young people are all assholes/have no taste got real old real fast. Couple that with the fact that everyone was lining up to suck John Mayer/Joe Bonamossa/Robben Ford's dick (or dicks) and I couldn't take it anymore. Fuck that place.

EDIT: I spent 5 minutes browsing this forum and knew I had to register. I genuinely laughed out loud on a regular basis while reading threads here and there's just a generally positive and friendly vibe.
