its not hard a all. you just have to plan your bends out. one bend may make it impossible to do the next one. so you would have to do them in a different order. use thin aluminum sheet to make templates. like cut a 2 inch x 8 inch piece and start bending it. then test fit against the real piece your working on before your waste the good steel. also you have to know when to flip it over and bend/mark the other side.

I always made a cardboard replica first - gluing edges together etc, just to hold it and see problems (like baseplate flange).
