nice
I want to make one! any chance you could put up a couple focused ones of just the board top/bottom? oh and where the wires are going too, don't bother about the volume pot..
cap values, by the look 3x 100n and something else? and are those transistors mpsa18s?
I thought there might be 3 empty holes the third tranny since devi might have used the same board for both?

I'll try to do some better pics tomorrow. I'm using a webcam and it isn't that good. I'll check on the other stuff also. I would tonight, but it's late and I already taped the board back up.

You don't need a 3PDT to remove a transistor from a circuit. You can leave the base of the transistor in and it won't affect anything. Just use a DPDT to life the emitter and collector.
That goes for any circuit, not just this one.
BTW. When dealing with the metal can transistors (2N2907, 2N2222), look for the PN versions (PN2907, PN2222). They're in the typical plastic packages, and in my experience the leads are a bit more robust for modding. They're the same transistor. The "a" versions handle a bit more current or voltage, but you really probably won't hear it.
There's also the 2N3906 and 2N3904 that are good replacements for the 2N2907 and 2N2222 respectively. They handle less current, but they're pretty similar otherwise, and they're easy to find.

Good to know...will have to try that. Only problem is I don't have a drill...nowhere for the toggle to go
Any recs for a cheap setup for drilling enclosures?

I've been using Harbor Freight's cheapest drill press this whole time, and it's worked beautifully. Only thing is, you -have- to use the Harbor Freight step bits if you wanna drill the long way on a 1590BB, because the others are too long, as are most normal drill bits in the larger sizes.
http://www.harborfreight.com/5-speed-dr ... 38119.htmlIt goes on sale quite often, and it's on sale now!
A cheap drill press is better than even the -best- hand drills for this stuff.

Make sure to clamp that enclosure down when you're drilling. Safety first. Just imagine if the bit sticks to the box and you've got a little aluminum box spinning at 200 RPM or whatever where your hands are. BROKEN FINGERS, that's what.

For bigger things, like a sheet of sheet metal, it can be lethal. GIANT WHIRLING BLADE.
Also I'm used to working with a mill, which is huge and has many more foot-pounds of force behind anything you're doing (like pushing a milling bit into the side of a piece of steel). If the piece you're working on slips while you're working on it, you're probably dead.
SAFETY FIRST BITCHES. WE NEED YOU.

Necro bumping! So is it possible then to have all three in a single box on toggles and/or stomps?
EB

OK
I don't know these things...
