I love my mind warp. It does the weird out of tune sounds better or more controlable then the pitch pirate. I sold my pp and kept my mind warp,then bought a deluxe pp.

The manufacturer confirmed the early mind warps like the one I had were not working properly. sevensharpnine has a sweet demo of a proper one.

I know its like a year late responding, but thought I'd put that little tidbit in this thread.

Does anyone know how to tell what versions are the early ones?

Well the newest versions have completely different graphics, but I believe he said he'd be willing to fix any of the early ones that had the muddy defect. (but don't quote me on that.) It was only the first batch he released I believe, not very big. Chances are you'll buy a proper version or a fixed one, I wouldn't sweat it.
