I started on a crappy little Peavey SS with no reverb when I was a kid but the step-up to a silverface Fender Bandmaster Reverb spoiled me. I came back to a point that I am at least as comfortable with a dry amp now, actually more-so. My playing has gotten more rhythmic and my attack sharper, and that tends to sit better dry IMO.
I have some really great reverb on hand, but I move more and more towards using it only for heavy effects purposes rather than default-ish typical use. Reverse envelope, infinite reverb, and that Eno/Lanois Lexicon shimmery thing (and that one often 100% wet).

Ever since I read Rivers Cuomo stating reverb is bad for the children I stopped using it.

I don't use reverb on bass because I believe my role on the bass is to be as clear as possible. Articulation and clarity are key. Guitars, keyboards, and vocals can all have reverb and tons of delay going all the time, but it's my job to keep it down. Reverb is very dangerous on a bass IMO.

I don't use reverb, but if my primary amp had it I'd probably use it. I just don't need it enough to necessitate a pedal. Plus I like how, when I kick on a delay, I'm going from a totally dry sound to BAM DELAAAAAY!

I use my amps reverb when I need it. Use delay/reverb with bass as well. Not something to use ALL the time, but it can be done right.

i have a stand alone tube reverb/vibe unit as my only reverb (other than what's on me amps). i'm not the biggest fan of verb, more of a delay guy but as david lee roth once said: "everybody wants some"
