How do you achieve to get flanger-like sound?
Here are some of the suggested settings that Ryan posted when I got my super snazzy Cosmichorus - hope these help
Ryan wrote:Right on, Trey, glad you're liking it! Awesome looking pedal board too, bunch of totally awesome pedals!
The Cosmichorus does have a bit of a learning curve I guess hey... it covers a lot of ground. I can suggest some settings though! (For these settings, a knob all the way down = 0% and all the way up = 100%) And remember the volume control, the ramp symbol, only works on the wet signal. Also, the bottom toggle switch sets the range of the clock setting which affects how dramatic the chorus signal is, the middle position is the lightest, left is more dramatic, and right is very dramatic.
BOSS VB-2 vibrato setting: Mix - 75% to 100%, Treble - 75% to 100%, bottom toggle switch - middle position, Clock (the swirly) - 0% to 25%, Rate and Volume - how you like. This gives you a nice clean and clear vibrato effect and you're hearing just the wet output of the chorus chip, if you have Mix set 100%, true pitch vibrato.
Light flanger setting: Mix - 50ish%, bottom toggle switch - middle or left position, Clock - 0% to 25%, Volume - 50ish%, Rate - how you like.
Dark, thick chorus setting: Mix - 50ish%, bottom toggle switch - left position, Clock - 50ish%, Treble - 0% to 50%, Volume - 75ish%, Rate - how you like. (Turn this into a bright chorus sound by turning the Treble all the way up.)
Weird extreme pitch-bending: Mix - 100%, bottom toggle switch - right position, Clock - 100%, Volume and Rate and Treble - how you like.
Weird ring-mod sounds: Mix - 100%, bottom toggle switch - try all 3 settings, all sound cool, Clock - try all settings, all sound cool, Rate - 90% to 100%, Volume and Treble - how you like.
These are my favourite settings, the settings I go through when I test every CC and get to enjoy each one a bit since I don't have one of my own. *looks down and kicks a rock*
Thanks again, Trey, and if you have any questions don't hesitate to fire away!
Thanks T-Rey... will try them.
To date, I found some very interesting Chorus sound and some scary movies sound.
I don't regret my T-Rex Twister at all... the CC is a lot better sounding!!!

Just tried the Flanger-like sound...
Here the best I came to...
Treble = 100%
Mix = 55 - 60%
Rate = 30 - 40%
Volume = 50 - 55%
Clock = 0%
Both toggle to the left
I'm trying to get a slow flanging sound to use with a crunchy overdrive...
It's almost that but... I wist the flange sweep to be more present (on a regular flanger, I would increase the depth knob)... Any idea?
I also wish to have more treble in the flanger-like setting (my amp is very dark sounding).
But for the Chorus sound, I got exactly what I want... awesome

Hey Syl!
Just keep in mind that the CC doesn't actually do a flanger sound, it just does a really light chorus that is in the ballpark of a light flanger.. that's as close as you'll get though, it won't at all do what a regular flanger does.

It sound great anyway... just wanted more sweep.
But that's ok since I will use it for Chorus sound most of the time.
Treble = 100%
Mix = 100%
Rate = 55%
Volume = 45%
Clock = 0%
Top switch to the right
Bottom switch to middle
That's awesome

The flange setting sounds rad - is that using the settings that you posted?

Yes... this one:
Treble = 100%
Mix = 55 - 60%
Rate = 30 - 40%
Volume = 50 - 55%
Clock = 0%
Both toggle to the left
The CC was in my FX loop and the Liquid Gain Hydra in front of the amp.
And the video was made with a cheap cellphone camera
I like the CC a lot... and it work great with the Hydra and the Fuzzy Lady.

The iphone is actually a really really good guitar clip taker-thingy...I wish I had one so I could play angry birds.

Thanks, Syl!
Jon, you think an iPhone is a better guitar clip recorder than a Zoom Q3? I don't have one either (no cell phone for me!)... but Tanya does... and I know where she keeps it... you think I should be using that?
