I played one that look just like that ten or so years ago, one of the best guitars I've ever played. Sadly... at the time I did not have the money... but unsadly I got a tele that day... Still "have" it but it is in the middle of getting modded... again

Hard to choose between natural and white... but definitly not the black one.
I have some times to tink about it... no money right now.

Two years a go I let a used white Firebird go... how stupid I am sometimes.

I like the fat neck!!!

Do you have the Gibson 495R and 495T mini-humbucker (ceramic magnets) in this Firebird? Or do you have Alnico magnet pickups?

I've always liked the non-reverse firebirds most. I always thought they looked more reversed than the actual reversed ones hahah

i sorta have a love-hate relationship with firebirds, because they're so blatantly "lets chase Fender" and they don't really seem to do anything particularly "firebird" other than have the shape.

having said that, i do like thunderbird basses, so whatever.

No they do their own thing but I think it is more those kickass pickups more then anything else.. yeah T-birds ROCK
First time I saw Watt he played this bass and still I think it is the best tone he ever had.

And yeah you can be right that that bass was the inspiration for both of my P-bird basses I built.
