The AD9 sounds really nice, the memory boy/toy are good and have modulation, which is nice. I quite liked my carbon copy with dirt when I had it, I have heard a lot of other people say it's too muddy for them though, so I guess it's just a matter of taste. There's also the Malekko 616, which looks great (but I've never tried it). The DMM really is better than any other analogue delay imo, but if you really can't make space for it then fair enough.

DMM is king, but pricey. You can adjust the trim pots in the MXR Carbon Copy. I set up my friend's to sound like a DMM and it does a pretty good job. But the magic of the DMM is when it overloads, seems really tricky to find the sweet spot though... I had the malekko 616, fed back wayyy to soon for me. That was mark 1 though. Wait for the 919 to release, I bet that will do great things. I'm also very very pleased with my EQD Disaster Transport. Beautiful delay.
