thats as far as I got and there was some googling that brings up some more stuff but its harder to trust google then a stranger on a forum. if ya know watimean.

I think I'll read the stuff through at least once, who know, perhaps it gives me ideas. As a bass player, with both active and passive instruments, I've run to more than once to funny situation where the fx chain pedal order does funny things to the sound. Usually it's just about the range of sounds and volume, plus the intensity of the background noise. Sometimes, however, the fx chain pedal order is just being difficult to arrange for the tones dialed...

Yeah im glad i got into pedal building cause now its obvious when im reading schematics for pedals i have, if the the output impedance might be too high on a pedal and the input impedance too low on the next one. Its like magic. You can have two pedals that dont like each other and cause a muddy tone suck but if you change the order or buffer them it eliminates the problem. Its almost impossible for a guitar tech to know whats happening unless he has schematics or specs.
