hmm...extra pots...

maybe?
Eric! wrote:futuresailors wrote:Eric! wrote:SO EXCITE. DID YOU HEAR ABOUT THE EXTRA TOGGLES?
DON'T FALL FOR IT. A TOGGLE FROM SPUNX IS NOT A TYPE OF SWITCH.
McSpunkenstein wrote:The two toggles are just two feedback points. One is attached to the tone control, so the tone control will control oscillation. The other interacts with the gain trimmers.

Is that what he's calling it these days?

Well, believe with one hand and cup my junk with the other and see which one... wait, the other one's already full of balls. Fag.

I'm just about to get on that list myself (god damn this place). Anyone tried or heard the deluxe? I was just checking out a pic and I'm a bit intimidated by the number of knobs/toggles on that thing. I'm used to a little more straight forward fuzz, control-wise that is. Enlighten me.

From the man himself:
"The 3 extra knobs on the side are (from top to bottom): Starve, Diode 1, Diode 2. Turned clockwise, the starve increases voltage (so all the way up is normal). The diode clipping gets stronger as you turn them down. All the way up is no diodes then LED, Silicon, MOSFET, Schottky, Germanium. The types don't matter. Just remember they clip more.
The diode switches are in their normal position when switched to the right. Switch them to the left, and you get a volume boost (like, a massive one somtimes) and the clipping character stays the kinda similar.
The two new toggles are a couple of feedback points. These are really cool. Down is the "off" position. The top one feeds back between the gain and tone control, so when it oscillates, the tone control can change the frequency of the oscillation. The other one shorts the clipping stages. Theoretically it only works with their gain trimmers down a bit, but I've noticed it works anyways.
The oscillation can almost always be tuned out with the gate control, so you can get cool octave-down effects and other weird interactions without having to deal with the oscillation when you stop playing. "

Thank you, that's an excellent description! I think I'd be kicking myself for not going with the deluxe, sounds like it would give whole new set of sounds to an already great sounding fuzz. Was it designed for bass or guitar? Doubt it matters with all those controls, probably tailor it to anything.
MaxMaps wrote:How long is the wait now?
I inquired about a deluxe and it could be anywhere from 2 weeks to 2 months. The sooner the better, this thing looks amazing!

from what I hear, depending on how the boards he gets in today or tomorrow pan out it might reduce the waitlist down by a good chunk. However it'll still be a little while as the waitlist is growing.
dude seriously, if you has the cash get on it lol
