I guess I'm going to just mod the hell out of the Squire.

Man, where do you live? You can get vintage ones for under a grand...
Hell El Ban here will make you one...

f'real. $2000 is crazy for a Mustang. You can get vintage Jazzmasters, Strats and Teles for that price! And yeah, I build them too. I should get a website or something maybe.

Price depends on what you want... wood, finish, etc.
And yes, I build teles as well. Also, Jags, JMs, Strats and random creations of my own.

And, I can't tell from your "Location", but are you from Montreal? I live on the Vermont Border. Montreal is only an hour from me.

someone needs to show me these vintage jazzmasters, strats and teles for under 2000.....(ones that don't have issues)..a vintage guitar that has been fuct with is just a reg guitar with older wood. nothing wrong with that but it'll never be worth much....again nothing wrong with that but you need to keep the proper perspective on it.
if you're going to mod a mustang you should look for a reissue anyway. why buy an old guitar to fuk it up?
look for something modded if you're going to mod it even more.

You can order them from Japan too, most of these are ~$1000.

Ishibashi is supposedly really good with overseas orders, you can just call them up and sort out the details.

I have a beautiful December '65 Stang. If anyone wants to give me two grand, I'll walk it over to you.
