I have everything of theirs up until Friend Opportunity. I love everything I have... not sure why I haven't gotten anything since then.

WHAT IS WRONG WITH ME

I actually super-loved "Apple O'" and "Milk Man", and then the first few times I heard "Runners Four" I didn't like it! Now I would say that it's my favourite Deerhoof record. I heard one song off of "Friend Opportunity" and it blew my mind. Yet I don't have it.

Oh also I got to see them at the Blind Pig right before "Runners Four" came out. It was one of the best shows I've ever seen. It's worth it just to watch Greg play the drums, but the whole thing was GGREEREEEEREREAAAAAATTTTTTT.

Deerhoof basically would not exist without Satomi so, I guess you guys are out of luck. I happen to really love her playing and singing. If you guys have never seen them live, you definitely should try to. When she sings this live the middle section is really hauntingly beautiful in the middle of the aesthetic of the rest of the song:

That's kind of the whole point of deerhoof. They put abrasiveness and dissonance right next to catchiness and beauty and the two just accentuate each other into something great.

My personal favorite albums of theirs are Apple O, Runners Four, Milkman, and Offend Maggie so far. Haven't heard vs Evil yet.

Listened again and I definitely like it a lot more as an entire album. Maybe I should check out Offend Maggie again. That album pissed me off.

i will agree with you, that album is not nearly as good.

It starts off so strong!

and than i don't really know what happened.
