I'm down for doing a run, too.

I'm totally down for a run.

But I'm not gonna hijack this project.

But someday...I think that could be fun!

No, really...I wouldn't make a penny off it. I just think it'd be cool for a forum DIY to seriously go into production. All the profit would get divided in 3 or 4 (however many are officially involved), with my share going direct to ILF hosting costs.
New pedal company? ...Isle of Fuzz?

(Seriously though, not hijacking this project / don't have the time yet. Maybe I'll get involved in an official ILF DIY build in a month or two?)

you could build the very first "amplitude compensator" and take half the credit. I suggested it to SS/BS last time there was a "give me ideas for pedals thread". he didn't understand the concept or was skeptical. anyway, I have the flow chart of amps and mixer stages. I'm not an EE. I'm more of a schematic reader. but I do design circuits in max/msp all the time so I have design experience. I know this will work. its as revolutionary as the compressor. just think if you could say that you were involved with the first compressor pedal or rack gear. It boggles my mind how no one thought of the anti-compressor. and to all you pro's who think I'm pitching an expander, you are way off. I'll post the design if anyone is interested. I can sum it up like this, you can make an oscillating fuzz into a gated fuzz by putting it into the loop. also, you can take your favorite distortion that suffers from compression and limiting and totally make the compression disappear while retaining the harmonics of the distortion.

How very interesting

I can't contribute circuitry-wise, still have very little idea what I'm doing. But I like the idea, and I am a graphic designer, so I'd offer my services for designing some art.

I stumbled upon a really wacky envelope follower fuzz idea a couple days ago with my friend Tyler's breadboarded Bazz Fuss. I'll have to breadboard it up again.

Envelope follower fuzz + Octave down = Elban's empty wallet.

When u say envelope follower fuzz, what exactly is it modulating. Is it like a pwm envelope follower?

Looks like we've already got some graphic designers in on this, but I'll throw my design hat into the ring too. More than happy to help in any way possible. Maybe a graphics collab as well as a circuit collab? Or multiple alternate artworks?
