On a side note...I found out my bad ass Chem teacher has an old as shit Oscilloscope that she doesn't really care about.
I could possibly buy it from her for really really cheap. Should I try to do this? :D

definitely useful if you plan on designing your own circuits or start working with LFO's

Do not pay more than 50 for that scope. Try to get it for free. It does not even have BNC connectors and it looks like it only as 1 channel? its nice to have at least two such that you can monitor say, the input an the output of something at the same time etc. Tell him you will be saving the environment by taking off his hands.
