Dunno if this might be a solution but I noticed my TAFM was much gainier when I had my tuner in front of it. The Boss has a Buffer that will affect the behaviour of Fuzz pedals, usually for worse. I've placed it in the middle of my chain now. Or you might want to mod it for true bypass.
I tried this tonight, putting my Boss TU-2 after my Hoof and before my reverb and it seems to have reduced the feedback quite a bit and what's left of it is the good kind, the kind that can be controlled and manipulated.
Now all I need to do is wire up an A/B to use for a tuner out/mute and I'll be good to go.
