I'm excited to not have to pay 60 bucks for a used CD now!

Bnefits of having a father who used to work for Mordam Records: he got that album for free. Also, he gave me one of the kyuss/QOTSA splits one day, again received as a promo.

it clearly won't... i just felt like posting this video cause this line-up rocks
They had this lineup the first time I saw them...in Normal, Illinois of all places...opening for Zwan, of all bands.
They destroyed it, in an auditorium not designed to contain their awesomeness, in front of a crowd that was mostly there to see Billy Corgan. Good times.
Got tix to see them in Indy, really looking forward to hearing self-titled from front to back even though I've been pretty down on them since Era Vulgaris and the ensuing tour.

I have a group of friends how always bring up seeing the Peaches/Trail of Dead/QOTSA tour and leaving after TOD. I'll never get that. Well, actually I do, but only because I know them.

Yeah, I went to the NIN/QOTSA/Autolux tour and had to listen to a bunch of pale Reznorfags in Hot Topic clothes bitch the whole time Queens were playing.
No offense to any pale Reznorfags out there; some of my good friends are pale Reznorfags.

I saw a show on that tour, QOTSA were awful compared to NIN and Autolux. I never bothered seeing them live again because of that show! Friend of mine said they were pretty off that night, but shortly thereafter Era Shittyalbumis came out and I sorta lost interest. Still adore the old stuff, and Them Crooked Vultures was cool, so I'll check out future QOTSA I'm sure.
Anywho, that was definitely a weird crowd mix. It was dirty hippies and faggoths. I'm a dirty faggoth hippie but I didn't try to Clinton my way through any peace process. I find people that glue themselves to one specific genre hilarious. I went to see three distinct, amazing bands that night, but most people were of the "I'm only here for __________ then I'm leaving." Even being disappointed with QOTSA didn't keep me from knowing how rad that entire show was.
