Just wait and the perfect price will come around.
I generally agree with this, but if you really want it, offer the CL guy cash money and see if he bites. If you can get it for $350, do it and do not look back.
I'd never pay more than $350 for a Bassmas head, ever.
Agreed with the caveat that we are talking Silverface here. BF Bassman head in good shape, I might go 5 hunny.

That's is what I wanted to know.
Nobody, however told me how fantastic they sound.

Still kicking myself for not snagging a '66 BF 4x10 earlier this year for 5 bills. Epic

if ever there was one.

I'd rename this thread "Two Bassman or kill myself." And, with the new title comes your answer.

wow, so find a bassman in good shape and lowball?
We literally agreed to the original price the guy suggested because it was so insane of a deal.

Think we paid $275-$300 for our bassman.
Got 2 matching cabs at different times...one for $100 and one for free (it was empty).

Haha yea, we get lucky some times.
If it was the 2x15 you would know. They aren't small by any means.
That price is insane, btw. No where near what people should be paying for those...NOS even.

find a traynor bassmaster. they're awesome... pretty sure its a spot on clone of a earlier tweed bassman? at least 90%. i just picked up a traynor yba-4 for $340. basically a bassman with a 15" speaker.

That is also something to consider.
