I love the percolator circuit and lifting the diodes really opens up the pedal for other uses beyond the super compressed and buzzy fuzz tone. I really like the way they clean up and get great overdrive tones and sparkly clean tones like a fuzz face but the percolator circuit just has more muscle and character.
