just about everything merck records had to offer is incredible.
http://www.m3rck.net/i suggest proswell and machine drum especially. Lateduster is electronicy, but Martin dosh is their drummer, and most of the guitars are soundscapes created by dudes playing with pedals. Easy Pieces is more than possibly one of my favourite records ever.
the best IDM record ever in my opinion is Rossz Csillag Alatt Született by Venetian Snares. it's hungarian for "born under the wrong stars." It's in hungarian because the entire album is essentially a bela bartok mashup with insane drums over it. Oh, and some billie holiday mixed in. It's unfucking real.

An IDM discussion without Autechre makes baby Jesus cry.
If you want somewhat "normal" sounding IDM, then I think Amber is their best album.

If you want fucking insanity that makes you question the definition of music, then Confield is the album for you
Also, Plaid is awesome too.

I've known about this for a while but never actually listened. It's pretty great.

I haven't listened to anything else by Benn Jordan but I just wanted to say that Pale Blue Dot is fantastic.

It came out shortly before Right to Children and actually has a few of the same songs. I guess it was a super limited release, like 50 copies between CD and casette. IT'S SO GOOD.
On an unrelated note, 4 by Aphex Twin is one of my favorite songs evar.
