The sweep never fucking ends.
It's awesome.
I
just got a Whetstone for Christmas. Spent about five minutes quietely messing with it and that was the first setting I tried. I'm loving it so far.
So much fun!

trickness wrote:Thanks Kyl - gotta say, just tried a Subdecay Quasar DLX, and it's a very cool phaser, but the Whetstone is on a whole other level. I spoke to the Subdecay designer who told me he thought the Whetstone was really impressive. I love mine and yes, it does sound best after dirt - I tried it both ways. Thanks!
I've had a Whetstone for a year or so and just bought a SubDecay Quasar DLX and I'm loving both, keeping
both on my board
Each has a unique sound, I have a dirtbox in front of them and the amp is cooking too. Both sound awesome pre or post dirt, though I tend to agree the Whetstone sounds real good after while the Quasar has a nice, nasty snarl to it which is pure wicked into a filthy amp.
Sell your mother, buy both, you know you want to

Can you get a tremolo effect from it?

I hope so, mine comes in this week and I can't wait to start twisting sounds out of it. PGS.com has a good run through of some of what it does. What are the best settings for a leslie effect? I love fuzz running into a leslie sound.
