I am thinking off getting a Mastery now. Goodby monies.

The way the intonation screws are in direct contact with the strings almost on a stock JM bridge akes no sense. I hate string buzz

Buzz in that way isn't the issue. If intonation is off, or the strings are too high (or any combination of the two) the intonation screws on the BT Jazzy's bridge come into contact with the strings - especially the higher strings - giving a weird, sitar like buzz. It's annoying, but it's fixable.

Break angle buzz is the issue with CIJ's with stock bridges. Which is why people go with Mustang bridges and buzz stops.

Matt gave me some good advice. I am going to try and fiddle with it tomorrow night and if I cant figure it out I am ordering a Mastery with Xmas loot. hahah

If they had the original style bridge I dont see how it could not have at one point. The technical concept really does not make sense. I love this guitar but I really hate the string buzz.

ive used mustangs, stocks, and tune o matics

they all had there issues but not sitar type bizz luckily

i liked the tune o matic but then the trem stopped working
then tried mustangs they were better for the trem
annnnnnnnnd the stocks were somewhere in between

I've never had the issues either. The BT's bridge is just a bit quirky, that's all. They could definitely have used shorter intonation screws, and slightly thicker height adjustment screws. If it's tweaked right, it's no issue, but it's annoying if it's not.

EDIT: Attached is a pic of the issue on the BT bridge - look particularly at the G, B, and high E strings at the bridge. You can see how the intonation screws are *really* damn close to touching the strings.

I know this is a long shot, but i've seen some people that flip the bridge around and have it upside down, and I wonder if they have any reason to do it... maybe it lessens the buzz? .... or maybe they're just dumb and put their bridge on wrong

Pshh, I've found that it's possible to slacken the strings enough that you can remove the bridge without taking off yr strings.

just tried it.....does not work!! Hahahaha. You have the same problem just at the back end of things. Lame!!! How hard is it to set up a Mastery bridge upon first try??
