Devi says that she wants it back, and she offered him a trade he wasn't interested in, so he should just give it to her? Why shouldn't he be able to get some money for it?? :?:

I agree with you. I just posted the link to be helpful for info's sake... If I was going to buy it I'd buy it to use it. I remember when the things came about and I thought is was a neat idea. Price is too high for me for what it is interms of what it does though.

Yeah, my question was kinda rhetorical. I just don't feel like going over there and signing in to tell them that

I don't know if the fanboys would be able to see things logically when blinded by love.

I listened to the old sound clips and despite the fact that is a very rare pedal it sounds :wha?: .
I guess Devi was still in learning mode.
No way, that I would ever pay $150 for this.

yeah I was kinda trippin out at the response on the DE forum, even from some of you posting there.
he doesn't want trades, he wants cash. Devi can't offer what he wants.
so what? people talk worse shit in auctions on the daily, this guy just mentioned that she wanted it but he threw it on ebay, where's the cardinal sin the fanboys are dying over?

The guy has every right to sell it for top dollar. If Devi can't get the scratch together, tough luck.
He's a dick for bringing up his personal interactions with Devi on the matter, and using it as a selling point.

the ass-kissery on the devi forum is hilarious

what's so special about this pedal besides being mildly collectible? it's probably just another copy of the vox repeat percussion

:idk: it's so hard to tell people's attitude towards a situation on the internet, but he didn't come across as a douche to me. It's not like he went into the deets about the correspondence. I know it's different for us around here because we get to interact with the builders, which is awesome, but she does run a business. So I don't see the room for the double standard.

If Bob Moog got ahold of me because he found out that I had acquired the first theremin he had ever built, I wouldn't see the harm in putting that in the description. KInd of a cool bit of info that even the buyer my be interested in.

The seller didn't spill the beans and said anything like "she wanted to trade me a bunch of Danelectro pedals, and I said suck it!" That would be a dick move.

If all the fanboys are so hurt. (I'm not on the DE forum I wouldn't know) Surely one of them will buy it just for the trade possibilities with Devi.

It is lame how all the zealots jumped in to agree without knowing anything else. I've been known to make outrageous claims or challenge a checkout clerk to gentlemans duel.
I'd just like to see more black buttons out there. Devi doesn't remember how to make them so it woulda been cool to have her reverse engineer her own pedal (even if it was a temp trade).
Though I guess anyone could trace it and post a schem ( :poke: winner).

I don't know if anyone else has a distaste for defx more than I do right now...I'm about $400 into a pedal that DOES NOT WORK.
...but I still think it was kinda dick.
