You know sometimes I'll crank my 400+ up and put my head against the top edge of my top cab and just let my bass feedback, it's cathartic.
my band mates hate it when I do this. Your right though its very cathartic/therapeutic.

300 watts to us is a practice amp.
I'm a bassist, but I don't need a 300w amp... Maybe three stacks of 100w each

Peavey Classic 400 bass head. All-tube, 400 watts, sounds like a vintage Ampeg SVT...Perfect for my the bass sound in my band.
My band used to be a 2 piece (bassitar/drums), and we had 7 cabs (4 4x12's, 2 8x10's, and 1 2x15) and 5 amps totalling roughly 2000 watts for a while...that was pretty loud. We toured with this band Beast In The Field who had more than us...we bummed out a lot of sound guys on that jaunt.
And then there's Jucifer...

Some kids out in Kalamazoo, MI turned me onto Beast in the Field, pretty cool stuff.
I used to play guitar through one of those Fender 300t Sunn-ripoffs into an Ampeg 4x10 and an Ampeg 1x15, sounded alright. Pretty loud.
I also tried to buy one of those Fender 400PS amps, got really really really excited, then the deal fell through (after I paid, adlkfjaldfl;jkadf).

I don't even need 25 watts!
Is there any justifiable reason for 300 watt...1000+ watt amps?!?
