Marshall in a box.... that my friend is a tuff one as that is why there are OD pedals.... Closest I come to a pedal that was inbetween a Marshall and a big muff is the Budda Zen man... Best allout marshall in-a-box I ever tried was a DRP-1 but sadly do to Marshall being stupid and not making it a pedal but a pedal sized pre-amp... I also dig HAO's Rumble mod and Rust ride for those types of tones.

For more suggestions I will need more info as to what you really want.

There is a "common sound" I have a old Green Sovtek and a newer Black EHX Russian and no they are not the same but they are in the same room, If I wanted the basic sound but don't want to use my sovtek for some odd reason I'd take my russian... which I someday plan on moding to Civil war spects when I get the time. The BBM on the other hand does in no way what so ever sound like any Sovtek/Russian muff or copy there of I have ever come across. People say they are "similar" but ALL big muffs are sort'a similar do to them being big muffs...
