Well, if it helps any..I wasn't 'duped' into buying a directional cable..I just bought a cable that just happened to be directional..

Well it isn’t magic and has a basis in electronics engineering.
But in the guitar/bass world it amounts to very little real effect unless you are playing
Near an HF transmitter and your cable is ½ the wave length of the transmitter’s carrier frequency.
Antenna propagation charts would be helpful here but you guys don’t care about those.
Directional cables and a better faraday shield might possibly have helped Spinal Tap’s air base gig.
You have to keep in mind that most people sold on directional cables will also spend hours and much money shielding and eliminating single coil hum, and then plug into 10 fuzz boxes.
I do have a couple of directional cables, an old Proco from ’73 or so (it is or was white and super cool looking), a 3 foot monster cable I got in a box of cables for $2.00 (I had to fix it so much for superiority) and a Planet Waves I bought a while back when I needed an extra cable quick and that is the only brand my local store had that day.
