Whoops, didn't know you could run it at 18V. Should've tried that before selling it, oh well.

I'm so god damn happy with the EQD Grand Orbiter, but it's one of those pedals that works so well you think "surely I'll love another one just as much!" and you keep looking for shit you don't need. It's like dating a woman with big boobs. It rules, but sometimes it just makes you want MORE BOOBS even if there are plenty at home.

Cheap! I wanna say I got mine for around $30 I need to crack it open and see if it has the same trimpots as the fx75b, if so that thing can get crazy

Oh yeah! DOD! So many cool, cheap pedals. Even if you can't really get the sounds you want out of them, you can almost always score them cheap, and sell 'em just the same.

Even their old, shitty distortion pedals are great for lo-fi awesomeness. I've had an old Grunge sitting around for a while that I did a couple of simple mods to, and it's really pretty cool. Unfortunately, it won't bypass anymore.

+1 to that. I demo'd and video'd it for David at Take Flight, and it's a pretty cool pedal. It does fuzz, sure, but it also can get a lot of crackly, synthy tones as well.

For crazy modulation stuffs, you might want to consider:

EHX Flanger Hoax
Ibanez Airplane Flanger
HBE Frostbite
4ms Tremulus Lune
Ibanez Flying Pan
EHX Stereo Electric Mistress (may look simple, but when you crank the flanger depth on this bad boy, it gets crazy metallic and sounds like ball bearings rolling down a drain pipe)

Agreed on the EHX BMS, it is a major cool pedal.

I think you sold the PM-7 to me, and I think I traded it to... PumpkinPieces, maybe? Shit, I can't remember. Shoulda held onto it, though. That thing was great.

I enjoyed it a lot more than I thought I would. The blend knob sealed the deal for me, because there were a lot of settings that were just too muddy or undefined. Having that there made the pedal really something that I could see using on a lot of different things.

Maybe I got it from PP and traded it to you? Good lord, I must suffer from b/s/t-itis... what a tangled web we weave. :picard:

But back to topic: crazy fun pedals for bass: uh... all of them?

All right - here's one for you: the Arion Stereo Chorus. Yes, it's cheap and plastic (I got mine for $20), but it's much more active and "whooshy" than your standard chorus. And the tone control is ridonkulous - it can boost your lows so much, it's insane.

Also, big big props to the Autopilot Caracol. The way that it blends external effects into the OD/fuzz/octave setup is amazing - I really love the way it can use another pedal to modulate its octave/fuzz/OD:
