The ever-soloing guitarist is a close second to the incessant drummer. Guitarists can sometimes be just as bad when it comes to not shutting the fuck up when the rest of the band stops playing.
Sometimes it's even a problem
while the band's playing. I knew a guy a few years ago whose guitarist basically just solo'd on his randy rhoads throughout every song. He thought that was called playing lead, but I don't know if he ever held out anything longer than an 8th note.

Cool for a metal band, I guess, but this was in an indie rock band. He just didn't get it.

Most of the songs call for Charlie Watts style straight ahead beats but his old drummer would go wild with fills anywhere and everywhere he could, to the point that it threw off everyone else including the drunk 40 year old ladies trying to dance. They gave him his walking papers.

I just might have found the guy from Youtube

My drummer takes a lot of time to set up so does my guitarist/keyboardist even with everyone helping her... It takes me 5-10 min: I carry in my shit, I plug my shit in and I have it down to 5 connections. I also work with a guitarist that I fucking swear tunes between EVERY song

I must be a genius... when my drummer left my band my bassist became the drummer for my current two piece.

By "Drive them to practice" do you mean, drive them to practice in a car..or drive them to practice as in "You get in there and practice now!...or else!" You fill in the rest

For the record I never said anything....

I have no probs with busy drummers, busy drummer means I don't have to play as much

One of my guitarists sets up and then plays loudly along with the house music, even if he doesn't hardly know the song.
Makes himself, and probably us, sound like idiots that can't even play.
