His boards from what I remember his board hasn't changed much just got more/better of what what they used before they got "big" Lots of phaser delay reverb and fuzz is all that was really used on the record. just multi-tracked harmony and then layered with synths. probably 3-4 tracks. Doubled of each interval melody with Phaser into a fuzz.

I've become a huge Tame Impala fan thanks to this thread (see my post up there), so thanks!
Regarding the fuzz in question, I assumed it to be a studio trickery fuzz, but then I found this video of them playing the song live, and you can clearly hear Kevin Parker step on something right before the solo that duplicates the sound almost exactly. I know they used a digital multitracker for most of the album, but it seems like this might actually be a stand alone pedal.
What do you think?
http://theaudioperv.com/2011/08/14/tame ... 12-fallon/I don't think I can embed on ILF from audioperv. Sorry!

I don't think I see anything here that it could be:

I'd say it's the small stone Fuzz Face and that Empress EQ.

Man I've been listening to this track nonstop since I checked it out. It's so amazing. Definitely gonna be buying Innerspeaker.
Thanks for turning me on to Tame Impala!
