a low input volume is really nice, too for some less compressed sounds - a bit trashier, less thick fuzz tones.
i need to post a little list of recommended settings for some basic sounds since everything is so interactive... soon.

The easiest way to learn all its little tricks...GET ONE!!! It is beginning to make sense in my head, on how to get sounds I imagine..but no way I can explain it (that's more of me than the pedal, some people could probably do it just fine).
Here kids, I scanned the "manual" Brian sent with it

- year4545 manual

Move along..nothing to see here..just me really enjoying these two pedals together..
Preeeeetty sure the X osc cascades into the Y osc (makes a ton more sense when playing one). Turning either to max kinda gates that one.

i just held down a 5th in that video on a synth on a super basic sound, just so everyone knows.
yeah eric, oscX is in series with oscY but turning them to the max doesn't exactly gate it... the freq increases as you turn it clockwise and at certain setttings it goes above audio range, which would be the reason why it seems as though it's being gated.
there's a very slight setback on tom having these as one or two people are having oscillation during bypass issues - weird because i didn't have any at my shop, which makes me think that these are especially sensitive to power situations... if you don't hear it, then great! that's normal. i've got a fix in mind that i'm going to do the day i get back from tour, though.

SO MUCH FUZZ IN MY POSSESSION RIGHT NOW
(sound shank, supercollider, grey stache, tafm, 4545)
I like to use the 4545 as a filter for the TAFM. Really gets good higher stuff going!
