Well are you looking to flip it? Otherwise the questions is: is it worth $700 to YOU??

probably not. I would put p90s back into it. but I don't want to over pay if I have to buy pickups on top of the guitar

i suppose for the right person it's not a bad deal. i don't keep up on prices from these era specials (i don't like TOM's on jr's or specials) but due to the pick up routing it'd be hard to get back to 'as original' condition. larger to smaller routes would require a little bit of refin around the pickup area or it'll end up being sold as a beater. with that in mind it may be hard to make much cash on it....
still for a les paul guy...you could do worse.

Sorry for the tough love but I've found myself in this situation before too... In the end you need to feel good about unless you just want to fix it up and resell it later, but I don't see you as that kind of guy, see you getting a guitar to make good music....

That mustang on the other hand... But I am partial to offset fenders....

I don't know LP's for nothin', but I've always wanted to get a Matsumoko-made Electra in the LP form factor. Awesome guitars, and super affordable.

My buddy has an Epiphone Scroll from the Matsumoku factory and the thing is tits. I would like to try out an Electra too, if it is from that factory.
