Oh, don't give me that! Look at your board! You've got some serious fuzz on there! The friend of mine who owns this pedal ONLY owns this pedal and a Boss HM-2. Both are cool pedals, but I wouldn't want either one of them do be the dirt that defines my sound. He just needs moar fuzz, and that's all there is to it!

hm-2's huge EQ sweep can get soem pretty cool tones though...
EDIT: just read your post again... i have both a black russian muff and an hm-2 hahaha, I also have a ts9 and a roger mayer axis fuzz so its okay :D theyre both a bit boring on their own i do agree... but when stacked with other dirt pedals theyre both pretty cool. I love my muff but hope to get a SUF rams head muff soon.

I did the exact same thing with a russian bassballs, $35 and everything. I orig bought the muff from a friend (for $40 now that I think about it), who didn't like it, then I eventually didn't like it. I also wasn't working and needed money so sold both.
