i've seen a couple of "fuzz"/TGD/delay tandems & putting TGD 1st in the chain kind of ruins that you know. is the tone knob thing even that
necessary ???

Put all the fuzz before the TU-2. I have a TU-2 and always kept it first because, hey, why not. I got a Fuzzhugger ABsynth and it wasn't working interactively right after the tuner. That's when I learned that the Boss buffer conflicts with the fuzz circuit's sensitivity. Overall I like it better after the ABS because that thing can get wild and would continue feeding back even after muting it with the tuner.

I, too, think it's probably the BOSS buffer that fucks the shit up for Your fuzz love. If You don't have a tuner send in Your amp, either have it TB modded or buy another tuner, or drop it in any cheap TB a/b fx looper You can use it from. Worth a try.

It's a bummer I know.
Strangeley enough, the buffer in a crybaby wah does not kill TGD funs!?!?
