I'm a "fuzz for every mood" kinda guy. I have five or six on my board (and a few more off the board), but there's always room for more!

i guess that's why guys from Harmony Central don't get a normal answer from here
and having said that, that's why they don't come here.

agree. sometimes i feel sorry for those kids who think and hear all fuzz pedals sounding the same... especially those who asked me after my gigs... i usually just give them the stupidest answer i can think of at the time... i guess they just try for themselves to understand.

I have 5-6 fuzz/dirt boxes on my board + 3-5 others sitting around for whatever.

Yeah well, I haven't played that one myself so I can't say... but... Who knows what secret magick sound with the right gear comes out of ti? It hardly can be any worse thanone of my all time favorites, the Marshall Govnor - which used to be overlooked because it was affordable, hyped, and common - just another amp like five knob OD/DIstortion in the market. Until it became discontinued, making it - in only five years or so - NOTICEABLE better than the rest, and also VERY hip, and - not so affordable any more.

Moral of the story? Never underestimate the power of a dirt box, no matter how common, overlooked and affordable it might be. Like with any awesome pedal, it's just matter of bringing together the certain characteristics of certain components through certain settings of the certain gear and BAM - You're an alchemist distilling purest imaginable gold through worthless, common metals.

SO: NEVER underestimate the hidden powers of a fuzz box. Just try to learn it's secrets.

Okay, okay: supposing it's not the BOSS DS1, which is crowned our laughingstock and the fools gold.

I'm not walking upstairs to count my fuzz/dirt.. that would deter me from looking for more.

I don't have a lot of fuzzes right now, but a part of me just wants to collect them, and hoard as many of them as I can.

No, moral of the story, try and acually remember what pedalz you actually have once you pass the 70 mark.....
I still have a hard time believing I has so many... but when I do a head count.....

I only have three fuzzes on my board currently, along with a boost and a Rat, but I have several lying around also. I find that my mood and tastes change so often that there's no reason not to have a shitton of random, different fuzzes.
