Well, I don't think it would be a waste if you used fuzz into one of these amps. I think it would be rad, actually. Just different. That's all. Plus, you'll have shittons of headroom if you get a Meat Smoke....

But they do own the rights to that name though as Matamp no longer makes Green amps, they still sell green vinyl heads, but can no longer write Green on the faceplates. Nice rig btw
One of my friends has an original Sunn Model T, and although it sounds amazing cranked, it takes pedals surprisingly well as someone else said. Check out the Sound City amps too, tons of headroom like the Sunns.
And I know that the guys at Verellen do custom jobs, and they usually don't go for more than $1700.00. Ask them for something you're looking for, I'm pretty sure they can do it.

So it's a crap tone because he uses some digital Boss pedal? If it sounds good, then I say use it.

I was emailing the main guy from Matamp, Pierre or whatever his name was, and he told me that they could make me a green tolexed head with some crappy new green tolex they had, but he said that they couldn't put Green on it
That bastard!
*This was around Feb or March too.

No, on the contrary, I think it sounds great! I'm amazed he's getting such a good tone!

Awesome. I take it then that you would not be averse to trading me your Matamp for a Line 6?

What is the closest thing to a lower wattage (less than 30 watts) Electric Amp, Matamp, or old school (not the modern stuff) Orange?
