I decided to help out too. I've got friends from college that were around the area when it hit. Luckily they're all ok.

Fuck yes.
Go, Super Doom Team!!!!
Congrats Daz.
In other acts of awesome-ness, one of the girls at work gave me an old turntable and amp her dad had been tinkering with. I'm back on the vinyl!!!
Listening to Blessed Black Wings while I do the washing up.
Technics SL-B2 into Toshiba SB-A10, sounds pretty good after years of no stereo action at all.
The Technics needs some adjustments, it skates a bit, even with anti-skate on, and the arm height needs some adjusting as the auto servo isn't doing its thing quite right, but I can fly manual for now.
I will need some decent headphones at some point soon though.
Any recommendations?
Conditions for Cans: On a budget.
Would be nice if they handled home recording/monitoring ok
Would also be nice if video games/TV sounded ok as well

I want to thank you guys for helping out with the raffle. We got $1120 for the relief effort! That's what I call a successful campaign. A gentleman named Spencer Webb has won the raffle.

so after the show this weekend I decided the new cab needed some more mids and lows, so now its 8 ohms instead of 16, and the g12k85's are going on CL. Altec 417-8H, a swamp thing, and two G12K 100's went in. Sounds great now. I'm putting the 16 ohms speakers up on CL for sale or trade.
My question to you guys is what should I ask for in trade value and quality wise?
I'd like to try something new.
