Got the last two pedals I needed to temporarily complete my pedalboard! Still planning on two more changes, waiting for the SB2 version of the Source Audio BEF and a fuzz project I'm cooking up with Brian, but those pedals have functional things occupying their positions in the meantime.

Also: I dig this jack setup on the back so I don't have to deal with the power jack on the side. I wonder when Taylor switched to that.

I know that a lot of peeps like top jacks...does anyone else, besides me, prefer top jacks for the lower row of a PT Jr or larger, but want side jack pedals for the upper row thanks to not having to route patch cables/power plugs around the top and down the side of pedals?

I do. My lower row is all top jacks and my upper row is all side but the Rusty (which is sideways cause Excane loves that). I'd have to look to see if I could fit some top mounted pedals up top but I'm pretty sure it would be a PIA.

I've had top-jack pedals on the upper row before and the world didn't end or anything, but if I have the option I'll do side-jack pedals up top.

And yes, Sousa...I saw your comments on side-jacks over@TB...

I'm hardly ever over there any more so I didn't see the thread but lemme guess... Sousa's a jack snob isn't he?

So...I use a 6 channel bypass looper by Road Rage and bulky arsed lava premade cables. They are just swallowing 30% of my board. I dig using loops whilst singing but might move down to a three loop and also change to low profile cables. What would you guys use? Any good loop switchers or cables to try that are priced ok?

Bottom mounted jacks are where the future is. Now hear me out on this.

I think it can be agreed that THE WORST jacks are on three sides. Like, side mounted input/output with the power on top. It's like FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUU. Why you wanna take up space on THREE sides of the motherfucking pedal? Arrogance. Jacked up arrogance. So once we all agree on that foolishness, we can kinda come to a consensus that the less amount of space taken up by the plugs going in.....the better. So one side with all jacks. We have all agreed. But do we put them all on the right side? That's wonky. The left side? You're a fucking bigot if you said yes to this but no to the right. Asshole. That leaves the top. Again we all agree. The counsel has decided and the matter is closed.

BUT WAIT THERE'S MORE!!!!

Everyone plays with their amp behind them. If you don't, you're a molester. It's proven that only molesters play with their amps somewheres else rather than behind them. And everyone plays with their pedal boards in front of them or you might as well get a white van with tinted windows and stock up on candy. Because we know what you are. So you have an amp behind you, your board in front of you.......why the faaaaaaaaaaaaaak would you shoot your instrument cord PAST your board and double it around to come back at your top mounted jack? That's like a waste of 6 inches to a foot. PLUS it puts weird strain on your cable.

So the answer is clearly bottom mounted jacks.
