I think the guitar center managers are all total piles. I remember this one Deeb named Bryan Thoryk or something. He was a regional.. The worst. He wanted everyone to call him BT.. I called him BM

He would sport like 4 gold chains and alligator shoes and shit.. just the worst. Hair all greased back... :picard:

I worked there like 3 years. I didn't set foot in one for like 8 years after I left. It was a soul draining experience. Back when I worked there commission was like 10 and 3 .. It's 8 and 2 or less now I heard

i know it's worse now but i can't explain it. i'm the tech anyways so my commission deal is even weirder.

most of my managers don't give a fuck. and i'm gonna call them out on it if i get sat down. and i'm gonna call my boss out on stories i've heard, his attitude towards customers, etc. to prove that i'm in the right and gc itself is in the wrong.

My boss busted me out in front of everyone one time for not "offering" a customer a performance guarantee on a $5,000 Les Paul I sold him.. And I says "dude what the fuck.. what kind of confidence am I instilling in a customer about the brand of guitar we carry, that has a lifetime warranty mind you, if I try and sell him some bullshit insurance?!" Yeah I got fired a week later for insubordination. Then they tried to deny me unemployment and I had to go to court, the judge was like "uh.. guitar center you're high, you fired this dude for no reason, pay up" it was great. The old manager was there.. man. Beautiful

Last week had a lot of challenges. I was finishing my training at the new job. My estranged wife had her court date for assault. I said goodbye to my dog. I had to drop out of Secret Santa and really scale back my plans for the next couple of months because of a lack of funds. It has been tough. Thing is, I handled it. I called the prosecutor and had the charges dropped against her for assaulting me. I have really shone at work. I've made it work with virtually no money in hand. I started making my own support network of friends to talk to. And when my soon to be ex-wife decided to harass me after the order of no contact was over, I blocked her. I'm not going to accept being treated like shit. I'm not going to accept abusive behavior and stalking.
