I'm too polite to them myself. Now I got 7th day adventists coming around once every couple of weeks inviting me to a bible play.

A couple Mormons approached me at the library once. I went through the motions being polite and when they asked me about my faith sort of in hush tone blurted (very very inside voice) "I'm not talking to you about this." They left and the librarian approached me and asked if I was solicited. I 95% of the time try not to be a rat but... I'm really not into this so I said, "Yes." And she asked if I would be okay being a witness. "Absolutely." Gave the librarian my number and everything. I told my Dad about it and went on about how it's a town municipality ergo there should be 1. No solicitation 2. Especially a religious one. My Dad put it all in perspective though... What is something we're told as a young kid?
....you're not supposed to talk in a library

Yeah, I'm usually too polite.. But they always show up when I'm busy and don't have the time... Still the one year I didn't buy a bag of Halloween candy... If I had I would have given them some

, the 7thers came earlier in the week... (Thankfully it wasn't me that had to deal with them, I am not fond of them due to ex step parent issues...) I live a mile from a bible camp

so you get a lot of cultists stopping by

Im down the street from a church, so its no wonder the religious types bug me.
Fortunately the “Im a Satanist” line usually spooks them. Or makes them more persistent.

I was walking out of a dollar store the other day and a woman sitting on the sidewalk tried to hand me a bible, to which I replied, "oh, no thanks."
"Do you believe in God?"
"No."
"Repent! You gotta repent! Come on!"

I rarely see the hardcore ones with the signs and megaphones around here.

Having a mormon upbringing gives me an advantage when dealing with mormon missionaries. Whenever I see them, I pretend I’m mormon and that I haven’t had the opportunity to find the local branch. They give me an address, tell me what time services are, and I never see them again.

So, what do you guys use to ship gear from the US to EU? I have found something I want but the seller is not used to ship overseas and the quotes he gave me are totally nuts.
(alternative option: is there somebody willing to ship it to me?)

I have never shipped from US to EU but Goroth did the inverse for me and it was seemed really inexpensive (and arrived quickly... thanks @goroth!). He might chime in here or maybe you can PM him.

oh we definitely have them. some guy came up to me and my friend when we were like 14/15, hanging out in Taunton, and started up like "people aren't interested in christianity coz they just don't know enough about this stuff" to which we replied that both our families were christian, with mine being catholic (irish grandparents, what else was it going to be?), so we know the deal, please go away. then this guy like, shifted gears and started saying some shit like every catholic is a paedophile and my family would go to hell, typical christian wacko stuff. by this point, i was 100% atheist but this little weird old guy really upset and confused me for some reason.

a guy i knew at uni was also doing his dissertation on street preachers here in birmingham, but i don't know how that panned out.

Wow. That sounds pretty terrible.
I certainly know they exist I see them with their stands and booklets all the time in town, but they never hassle me is all I mean. I see lots of quiet types there to talk to you if you stop and speak to them, not getting in peoples' faces.

I've always just sent stuff by the US mail using the cheapest option (first class international?) Last I remember it was like $20. But yeah the priority stuff is really pricey :-(
