That's like the Motormatic, holowon, etc. Pretty cool. I like Doug's simple take.
I came here to post the exact same thing!
From the short demo he put there I really like how it sounds when set at high frequencies, never tried one of the other ones you mentioned but this kind of approach sure intrigues me a lot.

Doug Tuttle wrote:First your signal is fuzzed up and split in two. Half goes to an electronic switch then the output. The other half goes to a frequency divider which divides whatever you play in half (up to 12 times via the “Frequency” rotory switch). That signal then tells the electronic switch when to turn on/off.
The result? A choppy/fuzzy trem/ring mod who’s frequency changes based on what note(s) you’re playing!!! First few are now available, $140 shipped in the US.
Just drop me a PM
Sounds good to me!

That feel when you probs would have been happy with just a Mid-Fi sample rate reducer + that. Fuqqqqqqqq... so much time wasted.

Anyone familiar with what options are available in pedal format for single sideband modulation (SSB)? I only know about the EHX ring thing.

Was the Seppuku FX Hysteresis just that? Or am I thinking of some other sub category of frequency modulation?
