I want to see them live so bad. Their record sounds fucking great, but I can imagine the strat might get a bit unruly. They're writing some jammy tunes though. Major step from Akimbo IMO.

Also, Crack the Skye is classic. The Hunter is disposable. And Torche rules.

I dunno man, the dude in Witch mountain rocks the hell out of a fuzzed out high gained strat and does it masterfully. I feel like strats get a bad rap but it's another tool. One that can be beautiful when used by someone who understands it. I prefer humbuckers nowadays but played a strat for years. good tones in there.

Also, summit broadcast just ended. very cool man. way to bring up starfish dicks

Don't entirely agree with you on Crack the Skye, but yeah, new Mastodon blows.

Only thing I wish was different about them is the tone knob. Wish it could roll off lows instead of or as well as highs. Sometimes I like my delays to be thin and scratchy.

put it in a seperate loop with an eq/blender?

Actually, now that I think about it I wish delays had blend in all of them. Kinda why I don't use a lot of delay most of the time. to much unwanted frequency's in there.
