And I missed something somewhere when behndy first talked about the H9...what is an H9?
Fair call. Kate Bush is kind of prog at times too and she can be pretty cool (IMO). I actually like good prog or any genre done well- it's just the local prog wannabes that seem to be extraordinary dicks. It must be the musical complexity combined with overestimation of talent.
It does remind me of a time in the 90s when all young bands were trying to play odd time. My friend had a drummer who couldn't play 4 bars of 7/4 so he just agreed to play 7 bars of 4/4 and meet them at the end
The H9 is a new Eventide goodie that people were hoping would be priced like an M5. Instead it appears that it will be priced like a Toneczar.

I like the part where they talk about gluing your phone to your guitar...and what happens when someone in the audience's phone is on the same bluetooth freq as your pedal and their mom calls?

you could make a pretty good argument that Bjork's later albums are pretty prog.

Finally someone being reasonable. All you fuckers dissing on prog ...
Prog is fucking awesome when done well. But I'll agree that it's fucking unlistenable when it's not.
But then again, I feel the same way about doom/drone. So stick that in your pipes and smoke it.

Yeah...LOVE that band but I always chuckle whenever I see The Cape. Prog meets glam.
