I'll probably just get all the books to finish the story tbh, prefer reading anyway.
I just read the first 20% or so of the first book so far. It's not extremely well written (compared to books that I read recently from people like Jeff VanderMeer) but it's not bad either. And the story so far is basically what's in the series but with much more insight into the main characters (Holden and Miller so far). The exposition of the different characters is also sometimes qwuite different from the series and it's always interesting to read the book after the movie/series and see the choices the directors/showrunners made regarding that. Anyway, I like it and if it stays that way I'll probably get the next one.

I've read the first two and dug em. Definitely not top tier literary SF, but strong on story. Didn't really like the show too much, but I didn't really expect it seeing that it's network tv and therefore fairly likely to suffer all the things that usually causes...
But I did hear that it took a bit to get into—I only watched the first three or four eps. Will reinvestigate.

Interesting.
I put up with an awful lot of pulpy sci-fi with uninspired prose but stories I find interesting so I might check them out.

Maybe because of the time she and her sister tried to kickstart $35,000 for a music video? (My faith in humanity was restored when they ended up with less than 5% of their goal).

the arrested development s4 remix is a fucking travesty. they wrecked something wonderful. it's like a 12yr old kid doing a shitty sharpie gangsta tag all over a rothko. i mean the original s4 is on netflix somewhere (apparently) but this is clearly the "official" version now.

Sweet. Just the movie I wanted to watch but didn't quite want to pay for.

Damn, not on Netflix Japan

I would have loved just watching all the Korg parts over and over again...

But the first season 4 was... not that great. Have only seen the odd bit of my roommate watching the remix so no comment on that, but they were hardly starting from a masterpiece.

Yeah, still enjoying this. New season hasn't been entirely great for me, but still good.
