Glad somebody brought up Dennis Rodman in this thread. Makes the thread 100x better.

Bad Boys.

^ This is really good timing. I needed something not too expensive to have my girlfriend buy me for xmas. The JP-08 might just be that item.

Great, grand, awesome.
have u sussed this out mang?
sounds like maybe a cable came loose on the inside when u were in there?
i know from changing the pads myself, that its pretty tight in there!
first thing i would try is just reseating some of the cables.

I tried again last night. Put the old pads in and the screen comes up fine. Put the new pads in and the screen is just a constant series of bright lines. I'm pretty sure that everything is seated right when I finally set it in, but it's possible something is getting unseated as I put it down, that's what the guy at MPCStuff told me as well. It is way too fucking tight in there though, it's incredible how little slack everything has.

Going to try again tonight but I don't have high hopes after I spent an hour+ on it last night and the same thing kept on happening. I'm sort of worried I broke the new pads itself or the board and I'm not going to get refunded which would fucking crush me.

u should be able to at least exchange them for a new set…right? sounds like it might be new pads if the old ones work when u plug them back in.

yea its pretty ridiculous how short some of the cables are. i remember having to pull harder to get the old pads off, cuz mine was stuck, not knowing that the cable was right there behind it w/ no slack. def kinda freaked out for a moment there.

i think it helps to open up the bottom too…? see if theres any cables in there that got pulled? its been a minute since i've been inside a 1000.

hope u get it sorted dude! i know the feeling all too well.

It was this thread, just a few pages back before D Rod and the cruise...

I have my concerns, but I do think they are neat looking.

hey senseis how is the korg pitchblack in a live setting? never thought much of tuners, but I've been through a couple now that just cannot hack it at shows. I usually have massive amounts of feedback looped or the bassist is droning out while I tune and at the last show my tuner didn't pick up for shit. basically improved one song over the dudes cause it was so out of tune. I'm interested in that super tiny strobe tuner & polytune as well. any info appreciated

are the any tuners out there that let you fine tune the hz? say I wanted to get golden and set my A to 432.. just wonderin :snax:

The pitchblack works just fine. Have it at the end of my board, and use it to tune oscillations as well as my guitar.

Dunno about dem hz though, try hooking it up to a dream catcher and some shrooms maybe?

I might look into the new one...looks like it could work nice (but I doubt it even though it looks like Akai is saying "sorry" or at least trying).

Nevermind...still need a computer :grumpy: lame
