I'm getting my Verellen soon. It's a 2x100watt stereo amp (basically 2 amps in one), full EQ controls for each amp, a concept Ben has been working on for awhile. It's already finished, just waiting for it

It's going to replace my two amps I use now for stereo, and is probably the last amp I will ever need. Ben V is also a super nice guy, if you can dream it (and afford it), go with verellen amps

and yes, I will post pics as soon as i get it
Are the two amps the exact same design? Or is each a different circuit? Either way it sounds amazing.

Same two amps, separate volume knobs, separate inputs, separate outputs to cabs. Here's what he said about it in a recent interview: "Working on an idea for a stereo guitar/bass amp that’s dialed in to be a perfect platform for effects pedals. Just a real basic amp with lots of headroom so that the pedals can do their thing without a lot of coloration in the amp, but just enough of that tube-y thing going on."
He's making the wood casing for it right now... hhnnNNNNGGG WAITING SO HARD

Wait til it ships. Mine went to jersey from washington by truck. It took almost a week of pure torture. But still worth it.

So I presume the point is to have each of the amps set slightly differently right, for some sort of "3-D" sound? Or like two channels that run concurrently? (clean, dirty etc.)

Long speaker cables and position cabs far away from each other? That would probably already have some sort of 3D effect.

A subtle phase difference between amps would give you a 3D effect.

But - wouldn't that come naturally when you position the speakers in not the 'perfect' position. Like isn't it much harder to have them sound alike than to have them out of phase?

You are totally correct, I am merely digressing as to the nature of the 3D effect, the position itself is not the cause per say but the phase relationships between the different speaker elements. So yes, the easiest thing to do is move speaker cabs around but it can also be achieved by small time delays (correlated to phase).
Also,
