wow, thanks for the take jujo - that's absurd about it just being a sticker... is yours an early one? did you buy it new or used?

Got mine used from Excane. It was mint when I got it. I think it's the latest version.

I don't know why he chose to do a sticker for labelling. I suppose you're really paying for what goes inside the pedal - and it's packed full. Personally I would pay a little extra for the finishing touches though.

It is a good delay, I just wish it would come out in the mix a little more, and hold the note definition a little longer. It does well for clean tones, but I find I'm not thrilled when I feed it dirt. Also, the delay time is a little shorter than Carbon Copy or the 616. Not a lot but it is noticeable.

Well... being muff varients, I can cop similar tones from both, but the TFR is pure evil lowend Chevy Big Block kinda thungerous ear murder... the Bluebeard is not. But, the TFR doesn't reach the same levels of midrange high gain harmonic mayhem that the BB does. Pinched harmonics are noticeably louder with the BB (tone defeat on). So, I'm running the BB with the tone bypassed, since it isn't as awesome as the TFR with the tone knob activated (muff mode), though very similar. Again, compared to the TFR, the BB is higher gain.

Basically, I use the TFR to shake buildings to their foundations, and the BB to shatter windows and melt faces, so to speak. In a band context, I'd use the BB to take over for the rythm guitar or piss off the lead guitar, and the TFR to take over everything below 500Hz and overwhelm the mix with fuzzy bass mayhem.

I'm blending both with either a clean signal or whatever sick nonsense the Unpleasant Surprise/Bottom Feeder/Faye Sing combination offers from channel 2. Usually though, I don't clean blend the TFR as it has rediculous amounts of lowend (it actually adds lowend volume), and is best as a muffled unarticulated fuzz monster. Mixed with the Unpleasant Surprise though, and things get kinda sick, in a very good way. I mean, lowend fuzz + highend fuzz = lots and lots of fuzz...

Since the Bluebeard is so midrangy, it works best on it's own or blended with a touch of clean for more bottom end articulation.

edit: of course, all the above is with my gear. ymmv and all that...

Thanks! I've got a TFR on the way and been wanting to check out the BB for awhile now.
I'll be using the TFR with guitar for the most part so a little added low end should be nice.
