Attack on Titan was pretty cool. Watched season 1. Onto some of the other suggestions I received.

i've been super into Haikyu!!, but haven't checked out the new season yet. it's probably the best sports anime i've seen. really beautiful animation, good script, fun and exciting.
only thing i don't like about is the lack of good female characters, but that's something i've mostly kinda given up on in anime.

Nothing beats Diamond no Ace for sports anime, I'll fight people on that. I don't know why I love them so much but I watch them all. Haikyuu fucking rules, new season ruled.

Ping Pong the Animation isn't actually about the sport, just a vehicle for the story, but it's an all-time favorite for me. Animation, soundtrack, story are all very very great.

In other news, new season stuff I'm excited for: Little Witch Academia (duh) and Rakugo (duh). Enjoyed both first episodes.

I think my favourite sports anime before Haikyu!! was One Outs, which led me to Kaiji and others like it. I wish there were more gambling anime around.

Ok, finally got the chance to see Your Name. Makoto Shinkai is way ahead of any other anime director, as usual. Man, what a beautiful film. You guys should get on that rather than the usual high school girl chosen one with superpowers and tits that you're usually watching.

At this point I feel like I'm going to be disappointed by Your Name no matter what now. It's evolved from a hype train to a full hype airplane.

Man, if you have human feelings, you'd have to be pretty cold not to appreciate Your Name. Shinkai has probably made the best non-Ghibli anime films of the past ten years or so. Along with that dude who did Digimon and for some reason started doing great movies.
