arent the amish children/pre-adults allowed to reap the benefits of modern society until a certain age when they have to become amish or be forever shunned? :idk:

Yeah, I forget what it's called, but they are allowed to go out and experience the "real" world between the ages of 16-18 or something like that. Naturally, all they do is throw crazy-ass parties right away. We saw a documentary on it in a sociology class I took and this kid(not Amish) was saying, "Yeah, everybody knows Amish parties are fucking wild! We got people from three states away coming in just cause it's gonna be so nuts."

From conservativism to liberalism, my transgender friend wants to get a pink strat just to fuck with her/his parents. lol

It's especially such a big deal considering she's partially color-blind.

i never knew that! i really really want to party with some amish kids one day. that reminds me of this story vice ran a while ago about hasidic jews titled the magic jews: from manischewitz to mescaline

shell pink and white are probably the only colors i actually like strats in, though.

as far as i remember, different Amish sects have different practices and requirements...some are more tolerant of technology than others.

Some brony in Finland had the balls to change their legal name to Rainbow Dash. I'm not sure if that's major win or major fail.

Like most religions they seem to get buy on technicalities. Like you can't "own" certain things, so you can lease a car.
I even believe that some can have cell phones just not bring them in the house. So you can have all the stuff as long as you can justify it.

Guy came over to check out some of my pedals. After he said he wouldn't pay my asking price, I unplugged his guitar, plugged in my bass, and zoned him out as he continued to talk to me about gear for another half hour. Thanks, guy.

Dude I hate when people do that, I had a guy come over and ask about buying a half stack, I told him the price and he offered me a nady wireless unit for it. I couldn't get him out of the house fast enough.
