Definitely not a kids show.
What's up with Al's endorsements? Doesn't he know his riffs are belong to EA now?

What are thoughts on the Cannabis Rex speakers? there's a 2x12 with these speakers for sale…sounds ok on youtube, but no one is playing down tuned doom with them, so hard to tell how they would perform…seems smooth and balanced...

Let's say someone just has one sitting around and you would want to try to make an offer. I like to get an idea for what different brands go for and the price ranges for Orange, Marshall, etc. are no secret.
They are awesome amps. I've had a bunch of them and always sell them off to get something else and then instantly miss them. They are built like brick shit houses and sound great. High gain JCM800 tones with a fuck ton of low end. On the other end they have some of the best clean tones I have ever heard on the low input with the sensitivity switch out. Modded to take 12ax7s or the original Russian tubes, they both sound similar. I'd hit it if I were you. They will always have someone wanting to buy them, especially the 120 watters. I've actually been thinking about selling my 2204 to fund another MK120 and then have the JCM tone with a little cash in my pocket. Anywhere from $300 - $500 for them is a good deal.
Someone posted something about a Butcher for $300 on ebay. HIT IT NOW!!!! My buddy has one and it will shake the fucking walls off of your house.

Anyone run a Revelation into a Black Forest or vice versa? I've got both pedals but I haven't ran them together since my bassist is using my Black Forest in his setup. He was talking about running my Pharaoh at the next practice so I may try it out but it won't be for another week. Mainly wanting to know which order works best for stacking and all so I don't spend a long time at practice fucking with it.

My best experience is with a Coven. Running the BF into the Pharaoh is amazing but you have to setup the Pharaoh in a lower gain setup using the low sensitivity input mode and adjusting the BF to taste. Combine them and its super heavy. It was still tight enough to palm mute as well.
Running it in reverse order was no good.

I don't have a BF but running my usual OD pedal into the Revelation seems to make no worthwhile difference.

Sorry duder, I'm still waiting for the revelation I traded with Chris for to arrive. I was thinking of using it similarly to the way nick suggested with the pharaoh. I'm still keen to discover which pedal is gonna have the kind of higher gain dialed in that I prefer, and what sounds combos I can pull out of em.
My guess is I will still use the BF for its chuggaliscious slickness and the rev will be dialled up for wooly haze.
I do know it will be tons of fun finding out.

only thing that remains is to marry the board back to the chassis mounted components.
Anyway, only two known issues, just before I go nuts.
There were two green wires from one of the trannies going to pins 9 and 5 of V2, I labelled them, but the labels fell off.
WHAT ARE THESE? and does it matter where they end up? In other words, can I get them around the wrong way? What will happen if I do?
Also, Black wire from the same tranny junctioned with a black wire coming off the board where its marked "T", near the big filter caps, and another from the 4ohm output. These were all soldered together on the third lug of one of the old big caps. The new big caps only have 2 lugs, and I've sorted them out, so what do I do with these?
WHAT DO I DO?

I don't have a Coven, but I do have the Black Forest and Pharaoh and I liked running them the best exactly how you described doing it. Sounds huge that way. I could still get some pretty funky chords to ring out clearly with each note too. I really liked that about that combo.

I have found that some stuff works well (Pharaoh, Ritual) and some doesnt work well at all (Rat).

Sho you right. I tried it the other day and it sounded massive.

The Black Forest can get into chuggy territory, but to me the Revelation does it better with the pregain all the way down, the gain all the way up and then the volume to taste. Its really tight and sounds exactly like your amps tone that way. Sounded great that way on a dirty amp too. There aren't any palm mutes in this song but you can hear how tight it can get. One side is a dimed JCM800 being boosted by the Revelation and the other side is a Soldano with dirty cleans on it being hit with the Revelation. Both tracks were recorded at one time with the cabs mic'd up with their backs to each other.

The reason I'm asking is if it works out I'm gonna see about getting a custom pedal with the Revelation and Black Forest in one box so I can save room on my board. Then maybe I'll still have room for my Ritual.

Also, I picked up a Zoom Q2HD from Guitar Center yesterday. Can't wait to see how it works out when recording practice.

Sorry I should have clarified that the Coven is 1/2 BF and 1/2 Pharaoh in 1 box so if you have individual pedals you basically have the same thing. I dig running that into a clean amp and its got enough clipping for my taste.
