ugh. THAT was an awesome practice. we had an idea we wanted to try, it was kinda stupid to try rewriting a song we really like 2 days before Happy Sechsy Studio Time, but we were just having a blast, spent about 3 hours on the one song, ended up adding like 6 riffs. it's so much super epic ADD pew pew pew PEW now.
RARRRRRR.

Spent 3 hours soldering together cables for my second board. Got to the end, and found that I had been shortchanged 1 FREAKING PANCAKE JACK. Luckily I had a few extra TRS pancakes sitting around from when I made an expression cable, so I just bridged the housing and ring lugs together with the shielding, and it seems to work. Now I just have to wait for all of my power cables to come in and this bitch be DONE, son.

yah. i still haven't put together the Solder Lava's that got ini, but i'm getting a HORRIBLE amount of buzz in my chain. it goes away when i click off both loops, so i don't know if it's my looper or a cable in the chain. tearing everything apart tonight, if i can't figure it out then when it's my turn to record Sunday i'm going to take off and run just the pedz i use for each song. GRAHGHGHHGHH.

I'm such a prissy bitch. That shit would drive me nuts. My board is nearing completion. Waiting on a ton of stuff to be built (TAFM, 2nd Vox Deluxe, new Darkglass) and others to come in (my first Danno etchings, Arc Effect Russian Muff guy, Woolly clone). Oooooof. Fuzz war about to go down between the Arc Effects guy, the Woolly, TAFM and the 2nd Vox is kinda in that. Possibly room for three if they are way different....but most likely two. Gonna be so nice. Jet Jaguar has stalled from guys just being busy with life. Losers' Reunion is planning a......reunion..... And I possibly got a project cooking to replace Jet Jag. We'll see which one gets started going, first.
So glad I have a graphite neck so that I don't have to deal with truss rod shit as often.

Following up on this: I adjusted the neck tilt and saddle height and things are getting better. But my action is still kinda high (see picture), and if I lower the saddles anymore I start to fret out on the last fret. Truss rod time?
That is one fancy-looking gift certificate you've got there. Also, we are totally surge protector bros. Not sure what to make of the fact that you're still using CD-Rs, though.

Had a decently productive evening. I wired up my expression pedal and the last cable I needed for my new big board. I'm still waiting on some power supply parts, but using a daisy chain and a couple wall warts, I was at least able to confirm that all of my cables are working (and HOLY FUCKING SHIT JESUS BALLS I got some great sounds out of this board).
I also jumpered around the filter cap in my Ricky's bridge pickup, and wow, that thing screams now. I wish I had listened to Mudfuzz earlier and done that mod months ago.
